  SAFETY GUIDELINES

Cusco treks packages

South Peru Inca 15days

While nothing can be guaranteed, safety is very much a matter of taking precautions and using common sense. Be aware of your surroundings. Keep an eye on your belongings. Don't go into unsafe areas. Use only radio taxis. If you take taxis set the price first and don’t go at nights to other remote areas.
These, and others, are precautions any tourist should take anywhere in the world. Tourists tend to have a large amount of money. They will probably be leaving soon. They are many times distracted by what they see.

Peru, and particularly Lima, has a high crime rate, but with some common sense you should do fine. Tens of thousands of tourists visit Peru every year and only a few encounter problems. You know the drill. Stay in a good area of town (such as Miraflores). Don't get drunk at a bar and then try to wander back to your hotel at night. Don't use an ATM on a deserted and dark side street. But the regions are safe now because the government has improved a plan to safe all visitors. But anyway take care or talk with your Guides.
